Next Up.......the 2012 season!

The Board of Directors of the Joplin Outlaws are already preparing for next summer.  A new coaching staff is in place and securing outstanding college players to travel to Joplin for exciting summer baseball.  We have retained local influential “baseball” people who have agreed to serve on an advisory panel to insure we are getting the utmost quality from our program.  As a non-profit organization, it is important that we have a successful season for our players, our host families, and our community.

After the 2011 season......

The Joplin Outlaws, their coaches, and host families were invited by Jeff Francoeur and the Kansas City Royals to come to Kauffman Stadium where they joined them on the field to watch batting practice.  Many of the Royals chatted with the boys and posed for pictures.  They were then treated to lunch at the stadium and had prime seats to watch the Royals play the Chicago White Sox.  The generosity of Mr. Francoeur and the Royals was a pleasant “distraction” for the Outlaws playing in a city devastated by a massive tornado.
